Design
The Suburban is so roomy that even passengers in the second and third rows won’t feel the least bit crowded. The tri-zone climate control system provides optimum temperatures for everyone and acoustic laminated glass dampens road noise to help keep the cabin quiet. Best of all, the Premium Smooth Ride suspension delivers a most relaxing ride.
The driver has a 10-way power adjustable seat and the front passenger seat is power-adjustable eight ways. Rainsense automatic wipers and IntelliBeam headlights are standard. Plus the wrapped steering wheel has mounted controls for the Driver Information Center and Forward Collision Alert feature, as well as cruise controls.
Performance
A 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355hp and 383 lb-ft of torque is standard on the lowest LS trim. It’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard across the line. However, 4-wheel drive is available on all Suburban models.
Keyless start, hill start assistance, hitch guidance, and trailer sway control are all standard. Remote start turns on your vehicle and allows it to reach a comfortable preset temperature before you enter it. This feature will also lock your doors and turn on parking lights after the engine starts.
Technology
There are more than enough tech features in the 2024 Suburban to keep all occupants happy. In addition to a six-speaker audio system and 4.2-inch color Driver Information Center, the Suburban offers Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 System. This includes an 8-inch HD color touchscreen, audio streaming via Bluetooth for two devices with voice-activated commands, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
Wi-Fi hotspot capability, a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM with 360L, and three years of OnStar Remote Access are also included. Two USB data ports are in the front row, one type-A and one type-C. Two type-C USB charging ports are found in both the second and third rows.
